A new clinic, in a place that already has a history
At the foot of Monte Nuovo, between Pozzuoli and Arco Felice, there is a villa surrounded by an orange grove that has been welcoming animals and the people who love them for over thirty years.
In 2023 a completely new venture was born here: the Villa Di Somma Veterinary Clinic. The place is the same, but the company, the team and the project are new. The equipment has been renewed too, and the idea of what a veterinary clinic should be today is clear: a place where, at any hour, anyone arriving with their pet finds someone ready to welcome them, understand what is happening and take action.

The clinic is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including public holidays. Even at night there is always at least one vet and one veterinary nurse on site. They are not on call by phone: they are here at the clinic, with our inpatients and ready for emergencies.
Everything you need, under one roof
We wanted answers to come quickly, without sending anyone elsewhere. That is why we have on-site ultrasound and radiology, an in-house laboratory so that test results are available quickly, and an operating theatre available 24 hours a day, where we perform general, orthopaedic and oncological surgery, including minimally invasive laparoscopy.
Patients who need to stay with us have three separate wards: one for dogs, one for cats and one for infectious diseases. This way every patient is cared for calmly and without risk to the others.
Not just dogs and cats
We also care for exotic pets: rabbits and guinea pigs, iguanas, lizards and snakes, and birds of every species. These animals require specialist knowledge and deserve the same attention as all the others.

Alongside them, a team of veterinary nurses and assistants works every day to provide an uninterrupted service, day and night.
Looking ahead
Villa Di Somma keeps growing. Soon the clinic will have a state-of-the-art CT scanner, allowing advanced diagnostics to be carried out on site without travelling to other facilities. Since 2025 the clinic has also been powered by a solar power system: a small, concrete commitment to the environment.
