24-hour emergency vet in Pozzuoli

We are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including public holidays. Day and night, there is always a vet and a veterinary nurse at the clinic: not on call by phone, but on site and ready to act.

Emergency? Don’t wait: come straight away to Via Montenuovo Licola Patria 79, Pozzuoli – 2 minutes from the Arco Felice exit of the Tangenziale (ring road). We are always open, no appointment needed. Get directions on Google Maps.

When to come to the emergency vet

Come straight away if your pet:
  • is struggling to breathe or has pale, grey or bluish gums;
  • has had an accident (hit by a car, a fall, a bite from another animal);
  • has swallowed toxic substances, medication, poison, chocolate or a foreign object;
  • is having seizures, is losing its balance or is unresponsive;
  • has a swollen, tight abdomen and is retching without bringing anything up (especially large-breed dogs);
  • is vomiting or has diarrhoea repeatedly, especially with blood;
  • cannot pass urine (particularly male cats);
  • is bleeding and the bleeding will not stop;
  • shows signs of heatstroke: heavy panting, drooling, weakness after exposure to heat;
  • has been in labour for many hours without giving birth.
If in doubt, don’t wait for things to get worse: come to the clinic. The vet and nurse on duty will examine your pet as soon as possible, giving priority to the most serious cases.

What to do on your way to the clinic

  • Set off as soon as you can and drive carefully: if possible, bring someone with you to sit with your pet during the journey.
  • After an injury, move your pet as little as possible, using a blanket or a rigid board.
  • If you suspect poisoning, do not make your pet vomit unless a vet tells you to, and bring the packaging or a sample of the substance with you.
  • In case of heatstroke, wet your pet with cool (not ice-cold) water and come straight away.
  • If there is bleeding, press on the wound with gauze or a clean cloth.
